"In their own words"
Today id like to welcome author, entrepreneur, and industry expert in the field of sex work and adult entertainment the supremely talented Kyser.
Kyser:
Thank you for having me.
Pariah:
First and foremost let me just say I love people who use just one name lol like Prince, or Madonna or Beyonce most of the time those people become icons and i see you on that path as well. Before we dive into the deep stuff who's on your playlist right now? Whats your current favorite song and whats your favorite candy? Just know I judge people based off their candy selection more harshly than I do their politics so answer with caution lol.
Kyser:
So right now I’m currently obsessed with TEMS. The girl on the essence song with wizkid.. Her vibe is dope and her last album is on repeat. The song Free Mind is one I really resonate with right now.
I'm not big on candy. I only have a sweet tooth when I’m on my period tbh lol. And even then it’s cravings for cookies or ice cream. However when I do eat candy I like gummies.
Pariah:
Ok I'll let you slide on the candy but the rest is cool lol. So to begin normally i like to ask people the basics upfront, how old are you? When did you first become interested in this field of work? Why do you consider this work important and how do you see this empowering your life and the lives of others?
Kyser:
Well I just turned 26 October 3rd. Libra season baby!
As far as internet in the industry, I’m gonna be completely honest and say I am not where I am strictly based on interest. Trauma has definitely shaped me into the woman I am today, however even after the healing and the breakthroughs, I noticed the sexual energy and being a sex worker of SOME kind will probably always be with me. Now I’m the one in control.
Sex work is important because we honestly keep the world going. Men love sex. Men love women. Women love sex. Everyone loves it. Sex sells. It’s the largest business in the world and some say the oldest profession. You know how many men would be out here tense and angry if it wasn’t for the women who give them releases or allows them to feed into their fetishes? Lol. No but really it’s important to get into the fact that it is work and it’s an important piece of society just like any other job or career.
I always feel good when I look good. I feel good when I get attention. I’ve always been a diva. Always loved the spotlight. I had to figure out how to heal and get through the trauma I’ve faced and this was it. It allowed me to be in control. It allowed me to do what I wanted and not because I had to. It was freeing for me. Not all women are so fortunate. Some do it because they have no means to do anything else. I hope I can empower women to choose exactly how they want to move in the sex work industry without control of others.
Pariah:
After reading your book aiding others in finding their footing in the sex industry I found myself captived by the many streams of income within sex work itself and even more so impressed at your business acumen. Do you think sex work is a field that helps women get away from the barriers in job pay equity that they suffer in other career choices? I ask because in my research women tend to earn much higher rates of pay then their male counterparts regardless of area in the industry.
Kyser:
So I’d say sex work is probably one of the only jobs or careers where women WASH men when it comes to the pay gap. Lol like there aren’t many men on the scene able to be as lucrative as the women… unless they’re gay.
I wouldn’t say it’s a way to get away from the pay barrier of normal careers but it’s definitely a way to make good money. It's definitely not the easy money people make it out to be though. There's challenges in any industry within the capitalist system.
My goal in life is to have my freedom. To preach freedom. Genuine freedom. Peace. Control over your life. Not following societal norms. For my brand. I plan on writing another book about my hoe stories and a little background on myself and traumas. I want Kyser to be a known name. I don’t need to be big but I want to make an impact. That’s important to me.
Now as far as how people view those in my industry....there’s absolutely going to always be a stigma against us. But as the world goes forward, people are changing and learning. I just take the good with the bad. I can tell you the negative comments or shade can get to you sometimes. Growing up it was hard to handle. I’ve learned the more I accepted myself and understood to love me and hold myself accountable, I can only be but so affected by your words. I know myself. I know what I do. Lol I know some people won’t like that. But at the end of every day I genuinely don’t care. My happiness is top priority.
I’m very open. My family knows. My friends. Everyone should know by now that Kyser is a Sex Worker. Everyone is very supportive. My mom jokes and says she wants to be like Kris Jenner and manage me lol. I’m very blessed to have the circle I have around me.
Pariah:
You have been so amazing thus far and before we end the interview tell the good people what projects you have coming up and where they can "Catch Kyser" next.
Kyser:
So my ebook “Sex Work Savvy” is out now. The link is in the bio of all of my social media platforms. As I said before, I’m working on a memoir of some sort. I don’t have the title and it’s nowhere near done but I can promise it’s coming. Lol in the meantime I’m active on Facebook “Kyser LastPage” where I dump all my wild and random thoughts, and Instagram @mynameiskyser
Twitter @betterthanlays and onlyfans.com/kysersaiso
Pariah:
Kyser I want to thank you so very much again for being a part of the inaugural launch of this series.
I and the good people of The Galatic Griot want to thank our guest today for her thoughtful dialogue and for educating us on the ins and outs of her industry. "Her name is Kyser she like us all is a Griot, and she deserves to tell her own story"
